1Great shots for 2 months then it is a dud.
By Badger
Bought the camera and it took great shots for 2 months. Checked camera to see how many pictures were on it after 3 weeks and to my amazement none were on sd card. I was receiving a card lock message on the camera. I tried another sd card and received the same message. Called customer support and toldthem that I was using a San Disk ultra card. Technician tells me he knows the problem wasdue to using an ultra card. You are suppose to use a plain old sd card. The ultra card is too fast for the camera. (ultra card worked for the1st 2 months though.) he walked me through a reset of the camera. He told me to put in a plain sd card with no files in it. I tried this and Istill receive the card lock error. Called up tech support again they emailed me a patch to put on sd card and then place in camera. I have followed the directions to a T with 2 different sd cards and the camera still does not takepictures. It Appears as though the camera is taking pictures but it is not. I verified that both sd cards work via my canon camera. I will call tech support again and see what the next options are. By the way there is nothing in owners manual stating what type of sd card touse in this camera........Update: July 4, 2012: Moultrie mailed me a brand new camera within 2 weeks of receiving my defective unit. Thank goodness I still had my receipt.

5Best Camera so far
By Michael Kasko
I now have 3 of these cameras. The first was purchased 2 years ago and I was amazed by the quality and quantity of pictures. Checked the camera after a week and had 682 pictures on it and the batteries were at 73%. The videos are good quality too but will use batteries faster than the stills.I had an issue with the camera not working properly at one point. I went on their website and downloaded the latest firmware and installed it. Perfect, no problems after that.I don't use the plot cam feature but I have saved a lot of the videos and plan to put them together on a DVD. The movie maker in Windows 7 works great for this.I plan to get 1 or 2 more of these in the near future so I can cover all of my regular deer trails. The info strip is a big help in paterning deer. Also, in video mode the camera takes a still followed by the video. Since video does not have the info strip, the still gives me all the data I need.Inexpensive, Reliable, Good on Batteries, Small, great pictures, What more could you ask for?

4Best for the money
By alpinistadam
Ive tried a variety of these cameras and i cant beat the quality of this, especially for the price. a few times, just before dark, in between transitions of the camera shooting with natural light, and inferred light, the photos came out very dark or blury, but this only happened maybe 3% of the time. the rest of the photos are phenomenal. i am a safari guide in the central african republic, and i used this camera for personal pleasure on game trails inside the rainforest- i was rewarded with clear photos of elusive bongo antelope, giant forest hog, yellowbacked duiker, blue duiker, monkeys, etc.. definitely a good camera, if youre using the right sd card apparently.
