Good image quality, nice build, OK functionality, NOT POE

I've had this camera for all of a couple hours, but wanted to get this information out there. So far, this camera has some strong pluses and some strong minuses.First and foremost, this is __NOT__ a POE camera. It requires a POE splitter (not included) to run off of POE. This was probably the biggest negative for me since I bought it for ease of running cables... and I also bought a POE switch. Now I have to place a non-weatherproof device somewhere close to the camera (and spend more $$ to get said device). It also does not ship with a 12V power supply, so basically if you don't have a spare power supply, or a spare splitter, you are SOL.The second negative for me is the interface. It's not terrible... but it's not great. I use a Mac and I am fine using Chrome, Firefox or Safari (in that order)... the web software requires three plugins at various points -- Quicktime, Java and Flash.... that's annoying and the combination doesn't work in Chrome for Mac. It is pretty responsive though, and not that hard to navigate.Pluses so far are: - Image quality seems to be outstanding. This is my first "HD" security camera (I've got a couple 640x480 models) and wow is it clear and sharp. The FOV is somewhere around 49 degrees... so it's not wide, but I knew this going in and it works for me. As far as I could find, "HD" cameras in this price range with wide angle lenses are few and far between. - Runs embedded linux - hopefully this means it will be reliable and snappy - mine is running 2.4.19. - Build quality is outstanding. The camera feels solid (and heavy). The case is aluminum and has a nice seal. - Not too big. I'm always worried when I buy a camera of this shape online that it might be huge. It's not. The camera body itself (minus the mount) is about 6"x2.5"x3".I can't speak to the motion sensing or other features yet. I haven't decided if I'll return it and get a true POE camera.
