5Buhsnell 8MP Camera
By Jdgator
I am pleased with the "Black" portion of this trail camera. I had various earlier models, but they were still visable when they were illuminating in the dark, and the deer were spooked by the dim red light. This camera's leds are still slightly visiable, but just barely, and the deer are not reacting to it any more. with the earlier non-black models, I have had deer change their habits to avoid the camera. The longer battery life is a great feature also. It takes 12 AA batteries, but they are very inexpensive vs models that use D cells, and they last for many months, even if the camera is seeing a lot of activity. I also enjoy the video with sound. I have been recording almost exclusively in video now, and it is a lot more entertaining to hear what is going on along with the video. I have not had any issues with compatibility with my computer, and windows 7.

3LEDs don't always activate for night videos unless batteries new
By Mr. V.
This camera takes amazing daytime videos. Sadly, the black LEDs don't activate about 2/3 of the time for night videos. When they do activate, the picture is grainy but there is plenty of light to see the subject and the surroundings. When the LEDs don't activate, the video is almost completely black, many times I can only barely make out the silouette of the subject. I've emailed Bushnell and will advise if there's a fix for this. If not, I'll probably return this. I'm confident I've got the camera set up corectly, for high illumination and the time of day is set correctly.Update: Upon further use, I think this camera is very sensitive to the batteries not being at the very peak of their charge. I replace batteries and the LED worked perfectly for two nights, and now I've got it set to take pictures, and that seems to be working at night as well. I have increased my rating to three stars, but I still wish the camera was better able to perform at night with batteries at other than the beginning of their lifespan. I had 12 AA's in there and shouldn't have had a problem the first try. Bushnell has never responded, but I am going to keep the camera. The daytime photos and videos are very nice.

3Great little camera, but the videos have black thumbnails.
By Old Timer
This is a review of the 2012 model of Bushbell Trophy Camera 119476. I have been buying these nice little cameras since 2009. Those were the best, and I have six of them. 2010 was a bad year, and I had to return any I purchased that year. My three 2011 models (119436 or 110446) were also good, although they lack the timer found in 2009.The 2012 models again have a problem. There are some great new features, but the thumbnails used to file the videos are black. I returned the first one for a replacement, and found it to also have black video thumbnails. I returned the second 119476 and bought a 119466. This also has black thumbnails and was returned. I called Bushnell Customer Service and they "never heard of the problem". Reviews on other blogs show the problem is well recognized. These cameras will be long remembered in my files as just black squares! They play OK, but I have to play them to see what they are. I returned all of the 2012 cameras and bought another 119466 from last year. It seems Bushnell has good cameras every other year, so I look forward to maybe buying one in 2013. In the meantime I cannot recommend the 2012 models.
