Stop the beeps

This camera takes excellent video, day and night. The only issue is that it makes beeps when it starts recording in the motion detection mode. There is no option to turn the beeping off. We had someone stealing from my elderly mother so we thought that this would help catch the person. It beeped so much the first day we couldn't use it in the motion detection mode:(.
